What Are IPTV Connections? How to Use Multiple Devices at the Same Time

Share
Tips & Tricks

When you see "1 connection", "2 connections", or "3 connections" on an IPTV plan, it refers to how many devices can stream at the same time using the same account. This guide explains how connections work and how to make the most of them.

What Is a Connection?

One connection = one device streaming at a time. If you have a 1-connection plan, you can watch on your Fire Stick OR your phone, but not both at the same time. A 2-connection plan lets you watch on two devices simultaneously, and so on.

How Many Connections Do I Need?

  • 1 connection — You only watch on one device, or different devices at different times (e.g., TV at home, phone when traveling)
  • 2 connections — Two people in your household want to watch different channels at the same time
  • 3 connections — Three simultaneous viewers, or you want to have a TV, phone, and tablet all active

Remember: connections only matter when devices are streaming simultaneously. You can install the app on as many devices as you want — the limit only applies to how many are playing content at the exact same time.

What Happens If I Exceed My Connection Limit?

If you try to stream on more devices than your plan allows, the additional device will either show an error message or fail to load the stream. Simply stop playback on one device to free up a connection for another.

Can I Use the Same Login on Multiple Devices?

Yes. You use the same username and password on all your devices. Install your IPTV app on each device and log in with the same credentials. Your favorites, EPG, and settings are per-device (stored locally in the app), but the channel lineup and VOD library are the same everywhere.

How to Upgrade Your Connections

If you need more simultaneous connections, you can upgrade your plan from your client area. Go to your service details page and click "Upgrade". You will see options for more connections. The price difference is prorated for the remainder of your billing cycle.
