MAG boxes are dedicated IPTV set-top boxes made by Infomir. They use a portal URL system instead of apps. Setup is simple and takes just a few minutes.
What You Need
- Your MAG MAC address — found on the sticker on the bottom of the device or in the device settings
- Your Portal URL — provided in your service details page at optimedia.tv
- An internet connection (Ethernet recommended for best performance)
Important: Before setup, make sure your MAC address has been registered with your subscription. If you purchased a MAG plan, your MAC address was collected during checkout. If you need to update it, contact support.
Step-by-Step Setup
- Connect your MAG box to your TV via HDMI and to your router via Ethernet cable (recommended) or Wi-Fi
- Power on the MAG box
- When the main screen loads, go to Settings (gear icon)
- Select System Settings
- Select Servers
- Select Portals
- In Portal 1 Name, enter any name (e.g., "My IPTV")
- In Portal 1 URL, enter the portal URL from your service details page
- Press OK to save
- Go back to the main menu and select Restart Portal (or reboot the device)
- Wait for the portal to load — your channels will appear
Common Issues
- "Authorization failed" or blank screen: Your MAC address may not be registered. Contact support with your MAC address.
- "Portal loading" stuck: Double-check the portal URL for typos. Make sure there are no extra spaces before or after the URL.
- No channels after login: Try restarting the portal. If still empty, your subscription may need to be activated — contact support.
- Buffering: Use an Ethernet cable instead of Wi-Fi. MAG boxes perform much better on wired connections.
Resetting Your MAG Box
If your MAG box is not working properly, you can factory reset it: Settings → System Settings → Reset to Factory Defaults. This clears all settings and you will need to re-enter your portal URL. Your subscription and MAC registration are not affected by a factory reset.
